Are you ready to transform yourself?
The ending of one year and beginning of a new year is a great time to reflect on what’s gone well and what’s not gone so well during 2018. We can then start to focus on how to make changes in the areas of our life that haven’t gone so well and work out some plans to build on the things that have worked well for us.
We often ‘generalise’ and tell ourselves that ‘everything has gone wrong’ or ‘everybody is against us’, when the reality is somewhat different. There will always be elements of our life that have worked better than others and we can learn lessons from the good and the not so good things so that we can improve our life moving forward.
When we start to create a plan for our life, we are being pro-active, rather than just leaving it all to chance. Now, I’m a great believer in ‘fate’ but I think it works best when we are clear about what we want our life to look like and then ‘fate’ can align with our intentions for our life and we start to notice the opportunities that are sent in our direction rather than being completely oblivious to them.
Brilliance Within’s Wheel of Life is a great place to start…

If you feel that there are some changes you want to make then the Wheel of Life is a great place to start. (You can get a FREE copy of the Brilliance Within Wheel of Life by signing up to this blog and leaving a comment requesting your free copy – I’ll send it you by email.)
The Wheel of Life helps you gain clarity on the different areas of your life and is a brilliant place to start identifying what areas of your life to focus on first. When you’ve completed this, you can ask yourself how to raise your score in each of the key life areas. It’s a simple tool but can have a really BIG impact!
Are you in control of your life?
We often blame other people and/or circumstances for the things that are ‘wrong’ in our lives (I’m sure it’s not just me – be honest….) and yet the reality is that we write our own story in the Book of Life and whether the story is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ is completely within our own control.
There are very few (if any) aspects of our life that we can absolve responsibility for and that you can’t choose to make a change.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s a bad relationship, a job we hate, a family argument, the fact we’re overweight or we’ve got no money or worse still – lots of debt… There’s nobody else to blame but our self!
We always have options – we can make a choice to do something different.
There are very few problems that can’t be solved when we choose to take action!
Change isn’t always Easy but it’s often much Simpler than we imagine it will be!
How many times have you worried about things that have never actually happened? All that wasted time and energy spent creating pictures and scenarios in your head and yet none of them came true… Many of us spend weeks and years worrying about all sorts of things in our life and that time and energy would be much better spent taking positive action toward the things we actually want to happen!
Worry really is a useless emotion. If you can change something – then Change It and if you can’t change it then there’s no point in worrying about it! Either ‘Change It’ or ‘Park It’ but definitely STOP ‘Worrying About It’
If you’ve got a problem and you don’t know how to resolve it, write the problem down and place it next to your bed. Before you drop off to sleep, ask yourself
“How Can I Resolve ‘It'”
You may not know the answer straight away, but by asking this question before you drop off to sleep, activates your Subconscious Mind to start ‘problem solving’. Our Subconscious Mind is a brilliant ‘problem solver’ and you’ll notice some of the answers to your problem will start to pop into your head over the next few days. Whatever answers ‘pop in’ to your mind, write them down, reflect on the options and then start to Take Action to make the change…
If you’re feeling ‘stuck’ with a problem then here’s a great FREE Brilliance Within worksheet to help you work it through…
Your Life Clock is Ticking
I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely noticed that time seems to be speeding up as I grow older… and I feel like I’ve wasted far too much ‘time’ working in well paid jobs that I didn’t really enjoy – what a Waste of Time!!
Not anymore though because after wasting too much time ‘worrying’ about what would happen if I left my job as a Senior Manager, I took a leap of faith. I resigned my post and set up my own business. It felt like it would be ‘impossible’ to make the move but I’m so glad I did – it really has been the BEST change in my life.
Before I made the final decision though, I considered my ‘options’ – I thought about what the worst case scenario would be if I stayed in the job I wasn’t enjoying and also what the worst case scenario would be if I left my job. Once I’d considered these 2 very different scenarios, the decision was much easier. I created a Plan B – for the potential financial difficulties I might face once I gave up a ‘steady job’.
I reminded myself about what was important in my life and that my house is only ‘bricks and mortar’… I never needed to put my Plan B into operation because as soon as I left my ‘career’, new opportunities presented themselves. I’d created space in my life for new great things to happen!
It took me far too long to learn that Nothing is Impossible and Everything is Possible when we make different choices in our lives rather than sticking with things just because we feel we should or that we feel there isn’t an alternative option to… There ALWAYS is!
I challenge you to leave me a comment about a problem in your life that you feel there isn’t a solution for and I’m very confident that I could present you with some alternative options…
