How you can help me to help others – Revealing our Brilliance Within

inner-confidence
Can You Help Me? (Don’t panic – I’m not asking for money!!)

Hi,

I hope you’re all doing brilliantly and if you could lend me a helping hand it would mean a lot and you’ll be relieved to know that there’s absolutely no money required…

I’m writing a book (well truth be known it’s been on the go for a couple of years on and off…) and today I had the spark of inspiration I’ve been waiting for – my ‘niche’. Although I’ve already written some general chapters to the self-help book I’m working on, I really felt it needed a bit more focus and so for a while it’s been on the back burner. Today, I decided to practice what I preach and use the Dream Planner to re-focus my attention on my dream of becoming a published Author. As I started to write my plan (using the free printable sheet – click on the link in my previous post How to Start Turning Your Dreams into Reality ), the spark of inspiration I’ve been waiting for popped into my head and it was suddenly so obvious to me and I can’t believe I’ve not thought about it before!

How to keep and find new sparkle as you get older.

As a hypnotherapist and NLP coach, I come across many ladies who seem to go one of two ways as they get older. They either begin to shine like never before because they’ve started to find their inner brilliance that maybe has been hidden away for a long time, or…. they start to lose confidence and feel like they’re blending into the background of life.

Have you experienced either of these yourself?

If so, it would be great if you could share your story with me so that I really pull on some real-life experiences together (not just mine) for inclusion in my book.

I feel like the last 2 years have been such an incredible learning journey and a period in my life where I’ve learned such a lot and spent time focussing on what I really want to achieve, how I want to feel and how I want to spend my time.

I’m hoping I can share my own experience and some other people’s experiences of gaining or losing confidence as we grow older and to provide some tips about how to do things differently so that we can empower ourselves to reveal our Brilliance Within and shine gloriously as we grow older.

What do you think? Would this be useful? I’d love to hear from you… Please leave me a comment below and don’t forget – if you want to start your Brilliance Within Life Audit, you can receive the Step by Step guide by signing up to my blog.

Great idea, but i would say that it isn’t age specific. I think it can happen at any age where we are at a cross road. When you older hopefully you have enuf life experience to dig you out, but that isnt always the case, for many reason. But younger ones have it after exams before uni, after uni what job,… Sometimes we brim with confidence and then we feel unworthy or self esteem justs dips ..

I think it will be a wonder book chapter/ blog post. And experiences of any ages. May be even jenny and all that she went thru..

I hope i make sense ..sorry for tge late comment

You’re absolutely right Bella – it’s definitely not age restricted and maybe I shouldn’t restrict the content…. I’m going to give it some thought – I just wondered if being a bit more specific may help with the marketing aspect as there are quite a lot of general books about confidence and self esteem but I couldn’t see many specific to the issues related to ageing… I thought I may get swamped by the other books out there but maybe you’re right and I should be ‘confident’ in my ability to shine above the others – or maybe I’ll start with this and write book 2 as a general one! Great feedback – food for thought and very much appreciated! xxx

Wonderful idea Wendy, the book niche sounds absolutely spot on perfect. You know the up and down journey I’ve been on over the last couple of years so, yes, count me in. I’d love to help you in any way I can with your book, whether it’s sharing my own story or just helping in any way I can. Enjoy that sunshine my lovely friend (and maybe send a few rays my way). We’ll talk real soon. xo

Ohhh how wonderful – I’d really appreciate that Brigid and maybe some tips down the line about how to publish would be amazing! What do you think about the ‘niche’ idea? (be honest not kind… as I’m sure you would be. I’d really rather gather some honest feedback now than write a book nobody is interested in…) Very much appreciated!!!!

I think it is a great niche Wendy. Have you looked at what is out there already?

Brilliant – thanks Brigid! I’ve looked and can find books on Confidence but not specific for older women – I’m not sure whether that’s a good or bad thing – Maybe because there’s nothing specific it means that there isn’t a market for it… or possible it’s a gap that needs filling…..

          • July 15, 2018 / 12:54 pm

It sounds like a gap but you never know Wendy. 🌼

Wendy, I would love to help you …. I think that rather than share my own story which I feel is a work in progress I would like to reach out to my own FaceBook crowd and see if we can find some ladies willing to share their stories. Xxx

I’ll try and judge a time when no-one is likely to be watching the Football or the Tennis. There must be a moment, surely 😀 xx
