Have you ever set yourself Goals and failed to achieve them?
Have you wondered why you sometimes find it difficult to stick to them?
We often set ourselves new goals at the start of the New Year – our New Year Resolutions and then by the end of January, we’ve slipped back into old habits and our goal is kicked into the corner, to gather dust…
With the New Year looming, if you’re thinking of setting yourself some new goals for 2018, try something different – have a new Goal Setting Strategy!
Here’s 5 questions to ask yourself when you’re setting yourself new Goals, that will improve your success of achieving your goals:
1. What do I want?
2. Why do I want it?
3. How will I benefit from achieving it?
4. What will happen if I don’t achieve it?
5. What action can I take today toward my goal?
Write down the answers to these questions, keep the somewhere handy and re-read these every day.
When the reasons for doing something are big enough and we can look forward to the pleasure of achieving the Goal and at the same time imagine the pain of not achieving it, we’re much more likely to stick to the daily actions we need to take!

“We’re alive, we’re awake and we’re on the move baby”… Scared is good because it means we’re stretching beyond our comfort zone. All we need now is to sit down at the table and get clear about the dream!! I love this one and I’m going to keep watching it over and over to make sure it really sinks in! Watch out for tomorrows… xx
True! Getting clear on the dream, yep, gotta get clear. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s. xo
