What Perfume Takes You Back To A Moment in Time? Estee Lauder Makeup Haul

Going to the Estee Lauder Counter Takes Me Back To My Childhood

I loved the makeup bag selection from Estee Lauder. I purchased my normal Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and a lipstick and got the makeup bag with a great selection of goodies for FREE! (no affiliation) This little makeup haul included lovely new lipsticks and their brilliant eye cream, which as an over 50 (well yikes 57!!) I definitely need….

What do you think of the results in the video below?

I have to say that Estee Lauder makeup remains one of my favourites and always reminds me of my mum, who loved the original Estee Lauder Youth Dew perfume.

I always have to have a spray of that original perfume when I visit the Estee Lauder counter in John Lewis at Cheadle and it takes me straight back to my childhood. It’s great how a perfume can do that isn’t it?

My granddaughter Georgie told me I smelled lovely, when I bought my new perfume from Estee Lauder – Modern Muse. I wonder if that scent will take her back to a magical moment, in years to come…. I hope so!

I’ve never used Estee Lauder either, but recently bought some lipstick and blush for my Mom and I really liked how it looked on her. Maybe I’ll give it a try….is that your sister in the video 😉 you give great hope to those youngsters who think 57 is old. Remember when we used to think how old that was!! hehe xo

Lol…as they say…out of the mouth of babes!! But we wouldn’t want it any other way. Kids can teach us sooo much, like how to appreciate the present moment and to renew our imagination and to not take life too seriously. xo

Having tried MANY foundations over the years Brigid, I always return to Estee Lauder and the Double Wear definitely has the staying power that others don’t! Thanks for the lovely compliment! xx

Ooh, I love a bit of Estee Lauder too . It’s definitely my go to make up, especially for a special occasion as it lasts all day/night.
Looking glam, as ever. Definitely don’t look 57!!
The perfume that takes me back is Yardley Flair. You can’t by it anymore but it reminds me of my nanny 💖

Awww bless – thanks Catherine – Yardley Flair – yes I remember that was one my gran used to wear too.. It’s amazing how a perfume or certain smell, or a song can transport us straight back to a moment in time. Yes – the Estee Lauder is probably the best ‘stay put’ makeup and I’ve tried LOTS of different ones over the years… Much appreciated and have a lovely week Catherine xx
