What Choices Are We Making As Human Beings?

What Choices Are We Making As Human Beings?
I warn you that this video contains some horrific images from the Holocaust.

However, with Remembrance Sunday coming up next week, it’s important that we remember the tragic suffering that occurred in the last World War and in many countries, continues today. Henry, who was one of the Holocaust survivors, asks some serious questions about the choices our Governments are taking and in the most powerful way, illuminates similarities in the present, to the horrors of the past…

As hard as it is to view these awful historic images, they serve as a powerful reminder, of what can occur and how senseless and extreme our Governments can become.

With the current escalation of the war of words between American President Donald Trump and North Korean’s Kim Jong-un, maybe we all need to pay more heed to Holocaust Survivor Henry’s words of wisdom toward the end of the video, even if the images are distressing.

In loving memory of all those who lost their lives and for all those who continue to suffer, in many countries around the world today…

I send you love, peace, kindness and hope and in the words of Mother Teresa, I hope the ripple spreads and that I can be one amongst many ripples being sent out

As human beings it is hard to go through life. I believe all of us as human being want to do the right things, but because of all the influences we have coming at us it is hard. However, we have to be strong and determine to not allow the enemies to come in our thoughts. life is hard we just need to do what we know is right.

Absolutely true Cheryl. Looking back as a ‘grumpy grandparent’, I do think that our youngsters have so much exposure to poor influences through the internet and TV and we’re seeing greater levels of stress in young children than ever before.. You’re absolutely right though we do all need to make the right choices.. Have a brilliant day.. xx

Such an important reminder Wendy and so heartbreaking. Yet I truly believe that sending out positive, kind and loving vibrations can only be a good thing. Keep spreading those ripples my friend, the world needs more people like you. xo

I have never been more terrified about the threat of a nuclear war. Terrified for the world and for my childrens future. It saddens me. Lovely post.

I really think we have to keep sending out positive inspiration, to change the negative vibration. If enough people send out the right message, things will change and sometimes the change can be more quickly than we imagined.. Stay positive.. Thanks for your lovely comment. xx

I had problems leaving a proper comment but I wanted to say thank you and that we must never ever forget, you are so right. I have just finished reading ‘The Boys in The Boat’ …. I highly recommend it as inspirational but also as a book that gives that reminder in the most profound way. Xx

I hope the problem was your end and not mine – if it is at my end, let me know so I can look into it. I think since I went self-hosted that this may be more of an issue for people but I’m not sure…
Thanks so much for the book suggestion – I’m going off to buy it now! It really is important for us to remember and learn from our history.. Thank you xx

It has been a little more difficult commenting since you went self-hosted but I have got used to the foibles. What it has a tendency to do is to freeze mid-flow as it were and not let you continue which means exiting the site and going back in. As I say, I know it so I get on with it (today it was being a little more stubborn) but I hope that others are not put off commenting. I hope you enjoy the book. I was an international oarswoman in my time and related to the theme but I am certain you don’t need to have ever sat in a boat nor taken any interest to be absolutely inspired by the story and it does serve as almost a live reminder of what happened in the 1930s. Xx

Thanks so much Osyth – I do think this may be putting some people off commenting but I haven’t got a clue what to do about it.. I’ll try to investigate it though to see if I can try and make it easier, because not everyone is as good as you and probably won’t bother to persevere (not their fault – mine for being such a techno dimwit!)
Wow – but why am I not surprised that you’ve been an international oarswoman! My goodness you’ve done so much in your life – a truly inspiring lady – I’ve now got a picture of you rowing your boat with Queen as your passengers..
I’m sure I’ll enjoy the book and thanks again for the recommendation… Have a brilliant week xx
