Are You Committed To Success or Just Thinking About Success?

brillinace-within-notebook

I’m fortunate to be attending Paul O’Mahony’s Social Media Marketing training and at the training yesterday, Paul highlighted how important our language is, in relation to how successful we will be when we set out on working toward our goals. I realised immediately that I had been ‘trying’ rather than ‘committing’ myself to success!

Have you ever said: “I’m going to try and do this” or “I’m hoping to do this?” and then not managed to achieve the goal you were aiming for?

I’ve definitely said those things both to myself and to other people and what I was doing was setting myself up for failure. When I told myself I was going to ‘try’ to do something or ‘hoping’ to do something, I was accepting internally that there was a possibility that I wouldn’t achieve it.

Think about the difference if I’d said “I’m COMMITTED to doing this” or “I’m definitely achieving this”. This simple changes in the language imprints in our minds that we WILL achieve it and that we’re going to ensure that we do, simply because we’ve COMMITTED ourselves to doing it and this is the message we’re giving our subconscious mind.

Bob Proctor highlights this in this video. I love Bob Proctor – do you? Let me know – leave me a comment below.. “If You’ll Decide What You Want….”

Oh yes, I’m definitely guilty of using the wrong language. Seems I need to change my internal dialogue. Wonderfully inspiring video Wendy. Bob Proctor is amazing. Thanks for sharing this. xo

Yeap… words are so important… the word and thought and the feeling in the heart must be aligned and committed.

I also heard that if we speak to ourself as if we have already achieved then …bingo

Great post and thanks for sharing i really found this useful
