He’s probably a love him or hate him motivational guru and me – I love him!

He has truly mastered the art of self confidence and in this video he also gives some amazing tips in how to develop unstoppable self confidence. Improving our level of SELF CONFIDENCE, is one of the biggest keys to unlocking the life of our dreams.

If you’re interested in reading one of Tony’s books, I can definitely recommend AWAKEN THE GIANT WITHIN – If you want to purchase a copy, click the link on the right hand side of this blog. There’s also a link to Susan Jeffer’s book, FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY, which was the first ever self help book I read and remains one of my favourites!

If you haven’t already seen my Confidence Series, here’s a link to the first post in the series: Confidence – Is It Simply A Choice? Part 1

I’ve always admired Tony, especially in the early years of his career. I was thrilled to find out that he had completed at least the first round of NLP certifications. Being an avid NLPer, I felt I could easily resonate with him, and so went on to read all of his publications. Great stuff!!!

I don’t know if he went off the grid for a while, or simply chose to be less public. After all, he is certainly entitled to live a quieter life at his leisure. He may have also decided to develop more online content instead. Suddenly, he came back LIVE, and much to my personal chagrin, he decided to plant one of his latest videos on Netflix. I couldn’t tune in to watch it fast enough.

Something changed. This video [which I’m choosing not to title] was filled with some of the most disrespectful expletives imaginable, and they were coming out of Tony’s mouth. I was aghast that he was using them to teach/coach intertwined with his original stuff. I had to shut the video off, as I felt so offended. I take full responsibility for this, as I had grown to expect something much cleaner from him. It strikes me that Tony still feels he has much to offer an audience, and maybe the audience he talks to today needs what he’s now ramped up to deliver.

I almost didn’t reply to your post as a result. Then I thought I’d mention that Tony’s earlier offerings are best for people just getting to know him. Otherwise, use caution viewing latest online videos, please!!!

Oh Jen – how disappointing for you. I haven’t seen the Netflix film – it’s been on my ‘to catch up on’ list which has been growing longer daily!! I’m glad I didn’t waste my time now after hearing your review.. It’s such a shame and really disappointing to hear as I first introduced myself to Tony Robbins more than 20 years ago. It was partly because of him that I went on to study NLP with Dr Richard Bandler myself.. I wonder if it is that to develop rapport with those he is helping that he has to mirror their language… or maybe it’s just another sign of the lowering of our standards over the last few years. Either way it’s a shame. I’ll definitely be careful about the videos I recommend Jen so thanks very much for the heads up! Much appreciated and I’m sorry for the delayed response – we’ve been on a camping trip with no internet access.. I feel like my right arm’s been chopped off! Hope your having a lovely week.. xx

I’m having an awesome week. Been reorganizing my dementia reminiscence closet, as well as other delightful “getting it together better” like WOW chores.

Still, cool with Tony, just more aware of his latest shenanigans.

Glad you and yours took the opportunity to enjoy a bit of a break, and communed with nature. Brilliant!

You are so welcome. I ❀️ my elders, especially those who need a memory boost. I’m a Reminiscence Coach. I conduct specialized dementia groups each month, and sometimes do one-on-one sessions as well. I bring lots of props, including vintage music, and use our beloved NLP to put all of their senses on alert. Passion abounds. They are still in there, and I am their memory finder…gratis!!!

That’s wonderful Jen and I’m sure whilst sometimes very sad, I’m sure it is incredibly rewarding.. yes my mum completely lost her short term memory but could still give amazing advice.. she just wouldn’t remember the conversation 2 minutes later.. We developed a much closer relationship through her illness which was lovely xx
