If you haven’t come across Brian Tracey, here’s a great opportunity to start looking at his work. Brian is a World renowned coach and via his website (no affiliation), he gives lots of FREE information, tips and tools to help you develop yourself both personally and professionally.
I came across this particular blog post last year as part of my own personal development journey. It fits so perfectly with my series on Developing Confidence that I couldn’t resist sharing it with you…
I hope you enjoy!
Tip/Tool:
Make sure you take the Self Confidence Assessment which you can download at the bottom of Brian Tracey’s blog post…. I scored 148 this week, which puts me just below the ‘mid-way’ point in the ‘self confidence’ scale.. Looks like I have some more learning to do!!
This is a great assessment to repeat over time. I first took it a year ago and came out I the bottom quarter in the self confidence stakes. You see we can all put on a ‘confident persona’ but what we feel on the inside doesn’t necessarily match what we show on the outside… and I’m therefore delighted that the changes I’ve made in my life during the last year, have definitely up’d my inner confidence and my score. I’m heading in the right direction….
One step at a time though as clearly there is further improvement that I can make in the ‘self confidence’ stakes and I’ll be taking the assessment again in a few months time to map my progress!
Another great post from you Wendy. I’ve just finished downloading and completing the self assessment test myself and I got 5 less than you so looks like I have some work to do as well in the self confidence department. xo

I’m definitely improving Miri and so will you.. the key is in our heads and remembering that we were born with amazing confidence is helping… xx
You’re right, the key is in our mind and the power of our thoughts. xo
Beautiful post Wendy. Missed many of your post. I think I am not getting your posts in my reader. Hope you are having a great holiday.

Hi Sumith- after a gruelling month both personally and for our Nation, we really enjoyed spending some quality time with our family and remembering how lucky we are to be able to do that.. I’m looking forward to getting ‘back on track’ with my blog now having been pretty absent for a good few weeks.. I’ll be popping across for a catch up very soon and hope you and your lovely family are all well too? xx
What I really love about your blog is the honesty. You don’t dress everything up as though you have always sailed through life but give us the real story and effort that you are putting in on your own journey. For that reason I am loyal to what you write. And I have downloaded Brian’s self-assessment to see where I lie on the compass and therefore to be able to keep a little track of the progress I make with your help xx

That’s such a lovely comment Osyth. I decided when I set out on my ‘blogging journey’ that I wanted to show ‘reality’ in life.. the up’s and down’s rather than the ‘image of perfection’… It means a lot that you’ve noticed – thank you so much!! We’re having a much needed holiday and I’ll be getting ‘back on the blogging track’ on return.. It’s been a gruelling month and I’m hoping to catch up on some ‘blog reading’ very soon.. xxx
Enjoy your holiday – I know it’s been a tough time on you all xx

I’m very competitive so having something I can mark progress against is bound to work! Xx
