Fashion: Manchester 50+ Lifestyle Blogger suggests some great bargains in the BLACK FRIDAY SALES

With the Black Friday sales, I thought I’d pop in with an extra Fashion Post as some of these items or very similar ones are now ‘on sale’ on line. There are lots of genuine bargains in many of the clothing stores and I’ve highlighted a few below so it may be time to grab a bargain. (No affiliation or payment received for this post).

I love poncho’s – they’re really easy to just slip on and add an extra layer of warmth over a jumper without looking like Michelin Man… I bought this poncho in Wallis last year and noticed today that they’ve got the same style poncho but in a variety of plain colours on ‘sale’ now with 50% off so instead of £25.00 they are being sold on line for just £12.50. There are also some animal print wrap arounds for £15.00…

red-poncho Also available in Black, Cream and a variety of patterns etc.

The animal print wrap below is also available at just £15.00

In my outfit above, the ‘taupe’ colour trousers were purchased from ‘Kaleidoscope’ and I think they look great when worn with black, cream and leopard print. What do you think? I’ve added link to the on-line catalogue item below:

http://www.kaleidoscope.co.uk/products/class-international-fx-trousers/_/A-014960_8R?suffix=WKP

The trousers currently have 21% off and cost £39.95 however, I opened an on line account and received a further 25% off so paid just £29.95. They are very versatile trousers and can be dressed up with high boots or dressed down with casual pumps. They wash really well and I can tell from the quality of these trousers that they are going to last me a long time!

Although the photo below is a bit blurred (sorry), it still gives a feel for what these trousers look like when ‘dressed up’ with a cream jacket (also from Kaleidoscope £39.95) and leopard print shoes which I’ve had for a few years and were from Dune (classic shoes that never seem to date..). Great for a night out to a great restaurant or an evening  trip into Manchester’s Northern Quarter!

I’d love to hear if you manage to ‘BAG A BARGAIN’ in the Black Friday Sales. I think I’ll be sticking to ‘on line’ purchases though – I couldn’t face fighting the crowds in the stores..

Now I think you’re being far too polite.. We’ve decided it’s Clint Eastwood in The Good The Bad and The Ugly! All I need is the hat and someone to ‘whistle to my tune’! … Hey you’ve got room to talk – who are you playing today?

    • November 24, 2016 / 9:48 pm

Oh – they know me too well Bella to think I’m ‘cool’… haha x

  3. November 24, 2016 / 9:36 pm

You are rocking this fashion blogging.. and hubbies improving with the photos.

As for black friday and sales i never quite win at these things

    • November 24, 2016 / 9:40 pm

Thanks Bella – I’ll confess – it was my niece who took these photo’s for me and she is a really good amateur photographer – I keep telling her to go pro! She had her work cut out though – there were some pretty ‘horrendous’ shots too as my 2 lovely nieces tried to teach me unsuccessfully to ‘pose’… haha – we had such a laugh! Hubby was made redundant (I haven’t told him though as I may need to re-employ in future!). Black Friday ‘in store’ – I agree a definite ‘no no’ but ‘on line’ – yep bargains to be had! x

      • November 24, 2016 / 9:43 pm

Yes online i think i will try. You have great neices and you can see you had fun..and yeah i noticed the poses and was thinking hubby might found that a bit much..lol.. well done it improving each time

        • November 24, 2016 / 9:48 pm

Ahhh – thanks Bella – that’s a great confidence boosting comment and very much appreciated! x

  4. November 24, 2016 / 8:32 pm

You look so nice! Love the ponchos, quite envious as I look like a cut price female version of Clint Eastwood…and they have no pockets for crystals, cat treats etc…the trousers are very stylish and work beautifully dressed up or down. Great post!

    • November 24, 2016 / 8:38 pm

Thanks Samantha – you’re so lovely! The secret to the lack of pockets is a little cross body bag underneath the poncho! I love the trousers – they’re so comfy to wear! xx

      • November 24, 2016 / 8:50 pm

Ahhh! Never thought of that…might try one on again…when my son isn’t there to whistle the theme tune from “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly….” lol!! xx

        • November 24, 2016 / 8:51 pm

Haha – hilarious! The Good The Bad and The Ugly was one of hubby’s favourite films and I watched it on numerous occasions over the years! I can hear that whistle as well as picture the look now too! x

          • November 24, 2016 / 8:56 pm

I’m on the lookout right now – hat’s are ‘in’!! Instead of the ‘cross body bag’ you could wear a ‘holster’ to pop your crystals in… x

          • November 24, 2016 / 9:04 pm

Lol! I need an appropriately shaped piece of rose quartz now!! xx

    • November 24, 2016 / 8:48 pm

ps – I’ve got an image of you dressed like ‘Clint Eastwood’ in a Fist full of Dollars! haha x

      • November 24, 2016 / 8:53 pm

Ha ha ha! Squinting meanly through a haze of cigar smoke…well, in my case I suppose it would have to be the fumes from the oil burner…!!xx

        • November 24, 2016 / 8:55 pm

Heheheh!!! Oh Samantha – I’m with you in this visualisation!!! I’m turning ‘mean’… I’m never going to be able to wear that poncho again without feeling like Clint myself now!!

          • November 24, 2016 / 9:07 pm

Oh dear I am sorry! I’m hoping you mean you’ll feel like a Hollywood superstar πŸ™‚ and leave the wild-eyed hairy look to me! xx

          • November 24, 2016 / 9:20 pm

Haha – no my husband definitely says ‘wild-eyed and hairy’!! Particularly now I’ve just had my eyebrows ‘microbladed’…. video post coming soon! haha xx

          • November 24, 2016 / 9:39 pm

            !!!!!!
“Microbladed”!! I remember you mentioning this before…I shall be interested to see your post on it and see if mice on rollerskates feature…xx

          • November 24, 2016 / 9:47 pm

Hahaha – hubby says they definitely do feature – prominently!!! Watch this space… You’re in for a ‘laugh’… I just need a paper bag to stick over my head – what with the ‘burnt and flaking skin from the DIY beauty mask disaster and now the ‘bushy eyebrows’ and clothes like Clint Eastwood… seriously… I need a miracle!

          • November 24, 2016 / 10:09 pm

Nahhh! You’re all right you, you’re “sound”! You have an inner beauty to go with your “brilliance”….but I am holding you to the featuring of rollerskating mice…!xx

          • November 24, 2016 / 10:36 pm

Ahhh – you’re so lovely – thanks Samantha!!! hehe… mice will be skating in soon… or maybe it will be ‘slugs’ crawling over the line first!! x

  5. November 24, 2016 / 8:15 pm

That poncho is a winner. You look amazing. #teamwendy. Lol

    • November 24, 2016 / 8:23 pm
